Shkreli’s Latest Trolling Victim: Clinton
In the latest of his series of Twitter attacks on politicians, former pharmaceutical executive Martin Shkreli has a new trolling victim, presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton. The hedge fund honcho has stepped up his commentary on the 2016 presidential election this week.
On Tuesday, Shkreli tweeted at Clinton that he had a date with a lady who wrote about it in the Washington Post, followed by some campaign advice.
I’d hope you do more research on critical issues required for election, in the future. We need thought, not cheap rhetoric. @HillaryClinton

He began his Clinton bad mouthing via Twitter on Feb. 11.

In October, the 32-year-old donated the maximum amount allowed from a private donor, $2,700, to Sen. Bernard Sanders’, I-Vt., presidential campaign. But, Sanders’ rejected the money and donated it to a D.C.-based clinic for HIV patients.
Shkreli is the former CEO of Turing Pharmaceuticals, which raised the price of the life-saving drug for people with HIV infection, Daraprim, from $13.50 to $750 a tablet. He was arrested in December on securities fraud charges and was freed on a $5 million bond.
During the GOP presidential debate, Shkreli tweeted at another presidential hopeful, but this time in support.

Shkreli’s typical politician trolling victims on Twitter are members of Congress, especially after he appeared before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on Feb. 4. A week later, he responded to a tweet about Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif., using a vaporizer during a hearing: “These are the unqualified idiots running our government.”
Following the committee hearing, his lawyer Benjamin Brafman had some negative comments of his own towards Congress, saying the committee tried to humiliate his client.
In other Shkreli Twitter news, he polled his followers on Tuesday about why “respondents hate me;” 53 percent of the vote went to “Arrogant/smug/douche.”
